The gisbornecabs.com.au website operates to provide Booked Commercial passenger Vehicle services. This site has an online bookings app form which enables you to submit your e-mail address, name, phone number, home address etc – information that is necessary for providing you a booked cab/taxi service Please note, at present we DO NOT collect ANY Credit Card information.

Information automatically collected about you.
This includes information that is automatically stored by cookies and other session tools. Our online Booking app is provided by Jotform and it may collect your IP address in addition to the data mentioned above. You can view Jotform privacy policy .This information is used to improve your customer experience. When you use our website’s online Booking app, your activities may be logged.

How we use your Personal Data

We use your Personal Data in order to:

  • Provide a Booked Commercial Passenger Vehicle service to you. This includes for example providing the driver of your cab with your address and phone number in order that your cab arrives as requested, communicating with you in relation to your booking or any change that may occur.
  • Communicate with you regarding any lost property left in the car, or any other incidental matter after your booking is complete.
  • Where needs be, clarify any aspect of your booking as submitted via our online booking app. We would call or e-mail you on the phone number and/or e-mail address that you have submitted.
  • Communicate acceptance of your online booking: this may include using your e-mail address, or phone number, provided by you.

How we secure your data

We do our best to keep your Personal Data safe.  We use safe protocols for communication and transferring data (such as HTTPS). We use anonymising and pseudonymising where suitable. We monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks.

Even though we try our best we can not guarantee the security of information. However, we promise to notify suitable authorities of data breaches. We will also notify you if there is a threat to your rights or interests. We will do everything we reasonably can to prevent security breaches and to assist authorities should any breaches occur.
